How do I read a capacitor code?

What is capacitor tolerance?

What is voltage rating on a capacitor?

What do color bands on capacitors mean?

What is the difference between ceramic and electrolytic capacitor codes?

How do I interpret "104M"?

What is NPO/C0G capacitor code?

NPO (negative-positive-zero) / C0G indicates temperature coefficient near zero (±30 ppm/°C). Very stable across temperature. Used in precision analog circuits, filters, oscillators. More expensive than standard ceramic.

Can I use a 50V capacitor in 30V circuit?

Yes, it's safe. Higher voltage rating provides safety margin. Just keep in mind higher-voltage capacitors are larger/more expensive. Always use ≥ required voltage rating.

What is microfarad to picofarad conversion?
